DHS Special Agent

My name is Martin, I’m a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I’ve worked with the Department of Homeland Security since it’s creation in 2003. I was devastated by the amount of responsibilities that we had. Just knowing that I have to get up in the morning and  go to work for me is a motivating factor because I know that whatever I do that day is going to be productive and have some type of impact. The most memorable day on the job I must say was an Enforcement operation where we actually carried out a drug trafficking organization that was operating in a community. The next day the community expressed their gratefulness because they actually saw kids playing outside that next day. So that for me it was that was a highlight.  If I was placed in your shoes and I was given this opportunity I would not think twice about it. Just go out there and do what you have to do and do your best at it. That’s what it takes.
